The Project

Homeward Bound is a non-profit based out of Asheville that helps put homeless people into permanent housing and provides the support they need to stay housed for good.  This Public Service Announcement will run 60 seconds and will be broadcast regionally on TV and will also be available online.  The focus on the spot will be on veteran homelessness and will follow one military vet on his journey from a stable home environment, to homelessness and back again with the help of homeward bound.

The parts


Lead – young (20-40) military looking man, tight hair cut with beard or scruff willing to shave off.
Wife – young mother (20-40)
Child – infant to toddler
2 soldiers – preferably with uniforms
Military doctor – must look like a military person
Restaurant boss – should look like a manager
Homeless fighter – Scruffy, been living outdoors for a while
Homeward Bound staff – outreach person, any age
Doctor – regular doctor
Landscaper – someone who looks like they work outside

Time Commitment

This is shoot will be taking place Saturday and Sunday, October 3rd and 4th from sunrise to sunset on both days.  Lead actor will need to be available the entire weekend.  All other parts will need to be available for a couple of hours at a given time on that weekend.  As locations are secured, exact call times will be made available.

Pay

Lead part is the only paid position, all other parts are unpaid.  All actors will receive a digital copy of the PSA when complete.  Lead will receive a flat rate of $100 per day for a total of $200.
